Everyday life… a daily wonder and the core of our very essence! Why not take time to think about yourself on an everyday basis and see what you are really all about? You might surprise yourself! As we all know life is very busy and so complicated. It can be very refreshing to pause and look at the real you. Consider the following suggestions, then jump in and begin to scrapbook everyday life!
Start by choosing something you want to state about yourself. Give an account of your personality traits, your profession, or something you enjoy in your day to day life. It can be something as simple as doing laundry. Yes, laundry. Absolutely anything in your life is worthy of an analysis and will result in defining the real you. It’s your life, own it and make it yours.
If you’re having difficulty writing about yourself, try having others help you. It can be very interesting and fun to see how others perceive you. Get a different perspective on who you think you really are. Try getting help from sources of all different ages, not just adults. Remember, kids have a totally different view. Who knows what you might find out about yourself?
Take what others say, try to find some images that relate, and put some of your own notes together to see what you come up with. Remember, this is about you. Force yourself to include photos of yourself, even if you don’t like them. Take the time to write about yourself. Journaling is one of the best ways to explain who you are and share the message of your life.
Often, when we scrapbook ourselves we find that our inner-editor comes out and stops the creativity. Allow yourself to be expressive, try a new technique and give yourself permission to describe yourself through your art. Use your favorite quotes, include photos from many angles, including your back. Add your favorite color and describe your likes and dislikes. You might even find yourself creating a page of all the things you have accomplished and all the things you still want to accomplish.
Whatever you do, you will find the “real you” in the pages you create. Go for it and create scrapbook every day life, just don’t forget to enjoy the journey!
