5 February 2012

we were out on our boat when a sailboat passed us on the water. being thorouhly addicted to papercrafts, i have a stash on the boat. i used some die cut waves on the bottom of a card and drew a little sail boat. i cut out the sails and filled them in with iris folding. i added a bright sun for the sunny day and we were off !!

Instructions

sailboat pattern

STEP 1:

i placed some die cut waves on a 4-1/2x6" card. i drew a little sailboat, then cut out the sails, filling them in with iris folding. i used a line by line fold on the smaller sail, and a square fold pattern on the other sail. i added a sun die cut in the sky and a matching brad in the "eye" of the iris fold. i added some whimsical fish brads in the water, wrote the name of the boat with a gel pen, and outlined the boat with a soft suede felt pen from stampin up. i filled in the mast with the same pen. please excuse the crudeness of my drawing. it is only for reference, not an actual pattern.
