A Spotted Canary Project by CMScanlon

25 March 2009

This stunning Thanksgiving centerpiece will be the talk of the table at your next holiday celebration!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Paint wooden base red and set aside to dry. When dry sand the edges to create a distressed look.

STEP 2:

Cover bottle box with patterned paper.

STEP 3:

Paint ribbon slide red and let dry. Sand edges when dry and spell “Give Thanks” with alphabet stickers. Use the black millennium to create a border on the ribbon slide.

STEP 4:

Create a scalloped border using the solid back side of patterned paper and a corner rounder. Punch a hole in each scallop, sand to distress and adhere around center of bottle box. Add a strip of striped paper over top the scalloped border and then the strip of canvas as shown.

STEP 5:

Attach the silk leaves with adhesive foam circles and add the ribbon slide over top of the leaves with ribbon.

STEP 6:

To add real flowers to your Thanksgiving centerpiece add a plastic soda bottle to the inside of the bottle box to hold water for the flowers.
