A Spotted Canary Project by Renaissance crafter

31 March 2009

Customize your July 4th or Memorial Day barbeque invitations by stamping them yourself and save money at the same time.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Stamp “you’re invited” onto red tag. Apply clear embossing powder and shake off excess powder. Heat the image with the heat tool until the embossing powder melts. Tie the twine in the hole of the tag.

STEP 2:

Stamp the grill image on white cardstock and emboss with powder and heat tool. Trim the white cardstock into a tag shape and mat with black cardstock. Add eyelet.

STEP 3:

Cut an A2 size card (5.5 by 8.5 inches, folded in half) from patterned paper. Trim the opening edge 1/8 of an inch so a small strip of the card inside is visible when the card is closed. Stamp the tag image on the front of the card with black ink.

STEP 4:

Ink the folded edge of the card with black ink. Chalk the grill image to customize the color and make it match your invitation.

STEP 5:

Adhere the “you’re invited” tag with foam circles and adhere grill tag with adhesive tape runner.

STEP 6:

Handwrite the details of the party inside or print onto white paper with your computer and adhere inside the BBQ invitation.
