What’s a boy to do? Craft projects even a boy would like!

There are days when your kids come up to you and say they’re bored. A quick fix to that problem can be to get them started making their own craft projects. Most girls would love the idea but you may not get the same reaction from boys.
We’ve come up with a few craft projects even a boy would like to create.
- If your son loves to read suggest that he make himself a bookmark. By taking two pieces of cardstock and gluing them together, add a few stickers and a tie on the end and you a terrific looking bookmark.
- Suggest a personalized journal or drawing pad if he is interested in writing or drawing. Take a composition book, cover the outside with cardstock and decorate it with his favorite baseball cards, stickers of his favorite sports, his name, anything that will make it his own.
- Most boys have an interest in sports, has competed and possibly has won a medal or two. Have him create a shadow box using pictures and memorabilia to display them. You can purchase an unfinished shadow box at your local craft store, use paper or a large picture to create a background, add a few smaller pictures, a few stickers, maybe a caption or two and have him add his medal. This may be something he will enjoy doing over and over with all of his awards. It will allow him to display his successes proudly with something that he created himself.
With a little imagination and a few simple items you can come up with an endless amount of craft projects that even a boy would like. Simply use what he is already interested in and take it from there.
