Warm and Cozy Felted Winter Hat

Instructions

STEP 1:

Work on a safe surface, so your needle doesn’t damage your table.

STEP 2:

Place foam block for needle felting inside the hat.

STEP 3:

Punch a heart from cardstock.

STEP 4:

Put the punched silhouette of the heart onto the hat

STEP 5:

Needle felt the white border of the heart first

STEP 6:

Don’t worry about getting all the little scallops.

STEP 7:

Add the pink wool roving to the center of the heart

STEP 8:

Remove the punched silhouette of the heart

STEP 9:

Clean up the scallop by using your felting needle and shaping each scallop.

STEP 10:

Don’t worry if you make a mistake, simply pull out the roving and start again
