Following a sketch to create a whimsical Valentine can be fun and easy. Deviate from the sketch by changing the location of the heart. It will allow you to add more embellishments to your card
Punch through the top layer of the card with the scalloped heart punch. Punch on the left side of the card. The card’s fold is at the top
Cut striped patterned paper 1 inch wide and cut pink heart patterned paper ½ inch wide.
Place pieces along right margin of card. Trim off excess paper.
Cut the bottom of the card ½ inch smaller than the back of the card.
Add heart patterned paper along the bottom and line the inside of the card with it.
Place a ½ inch striped patterned paper inside the card so it shows through the punched scallop heart.
On the outside of the card, add a layered die-cut flower accent using foam tape and an embossed sticker ticket that says “Kisses”. Add 2 decorative sticker borders to the card, a scalloped border along the bottom of the card, and a heart border separating the patterned paper
Changing the side you place the heart from your sketch allows you to add an extra embellishment. Don’t be afraid to alter the card design. Remember it is just a tool to get you started.
