Get creative with pens! Customize your own patterned paper to match your photographs. When you doodle, the trick is to keep your hand loose and draw quickly. The slower and harder that you grip, the jerkier your doodle will look.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Trim cream cardstock to 11x11; round corners and mat with rust cardstock. Round rust corners and adhere to a full sheet of chocolate cardstock. Round corners of chocolate background page.
STEP 2:
Cut an 11 inch strip of patterned paper. Round the bottom corners and cut along the pattern to create a decorative top edge. Adhere to the bottom of cream cardstock.
STEP 3:
Cut a 12 inch strip of cream cardstock and mat with rust cardstock. Doodle along the entire border and adhere to the bottom of the layout.
STEP 4:
Mat a vertical photo in rust, cream and chocolate cardstock. Round corners of photo and all three layers of mat. Trim a few images from patterned paper and adhere to the left side of matted photo. Adhere embellished photo to layout.
STEP 5:
Mat a square photo in chocolate and taupe cardstock. Round all the corners. Create journaling block from cream cardstock matted in chocolate and rust. Round all corners and adhere to matted photo. Adhere photo and journaling block to layout with foam circles.
STEP 6:
Punch a large circle out of cream cardstock. Doodle around the edge of circle and handwrite “The”. Adhere to a chocolate scallop circle with foam circles. Adhere to layout. Doodle around the scallop circle and draw an arrow that points to the rest of the title.
STEP 7:
Trim an asymmetrical piece of cream cardstock and mat with chocolate and rust cardstock. Handwrite “H”, doodle around the edges and adhere to layout.
STEP 8:
Punch circles for the handwritten “a” and “t” and mat with chocolate or taupe. Adhere the “t”, then doodle around the “a” and adhere with foam circles.
STEP 9:
Journal directly onto the cream background along the far right edge. Doodle around the edge of the entire layout and along the edge of your patterned border at the bottom. Draw a few more arrows leading from the larger arrow to the smaller photo below.
