If you subscribe to magazines that focus on your hobbies, such as crafting, gardening, cooking, travel, etc., it helps to have those magazines organized and available for reference. An even better idea is to decorate their holder to express the theme of your hobby. A great way to recycle, here we look at an example using decorative paper, rubber stamps and embellishments that is as fun to look at as it is helpful to use for these stamped magazine holders.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Using two pieces of the specialty paper randomly stamp travel designs on the areas that will be used to cover the magazine holder. Color the stamped images with metallic markers. Draw or write with the markers as desired.
STEP 2:
Assemble the cardboard magazine holder and apply permanent adhesive along the edges of the two outer sides. Line the decorated paper up with the magazine holder, beginning in the back lower corner. Wrap the extra paper around the front of the magazine holder. Do this on both sides of the holder. Trim the paper off the top and the slanted sides, leaving an inch and a half to turn to the inside of the holder. Cut slits along that extra edge and at the corner of the front and side. Apply permanent adhesive to those edges and secure them on the inside of the box.
STEP 3:
Create a label to place on the front of the box, using rubber stamps to identify the contents of the holder and the circle punch to cut a circular label. Embellish with layered accents.
STEP 4:
To line the box, trace the outline of the sides on the solid color paper. Score the solid color paper where it will need to turn the corner in the back. Trim the bottom of the paper if needed and adhere, using permanent adhesive.
