Create a fun thank-you gift bag with a fresh, summer-like feel using the resist stamping technique and a color palette of black, yellow, and white!
Instructions
STEP 1:
Trim a piece of black cardstock slightly wider than your measured treat bag top and twice as long as you want the front to be. Fold in half. This will be the body of your bag topper.
STEP 2:
Cut several circles form white cardstock and adhere them to the underside of both the front and back panels of your topper, creating a faux scallop. (Note: Lay the circles out on the topper without adhesive first, to get a preview of what the end product will look like. Adjust as needed, then adhere.)
STEP 3:
With watermark ink, stamp your sunflower image on glossy paper in a random pattern. Quickly heat set.
STEP 4:
Load a brayer with yellow dye ink and roll over the glossy paper. Roll quickly and in one direction only for best results. Lightly buff the stamped areas to subtly reveal the resist flowers.
STEP 5:
With black dye ink, stamp randomly on top of the brayered paper.
STEP 6:
Trim your stamped piece to fit just inside the bag topper’s front panel and adhere, centering.
STEP 7:
Stamp your sentiment in black ink on white cardstock, trim closely, rough the edges up with a fingernail, and adhere to the bottom right corner of the topper.
STEP 8:
Tie a bow with ribbon and adhere to the left of the sentiment as shown.
