A Spotted Canary Project by KelKeller

26 June 2009

Here's  a fun graduation gift bag and card any graduate would love to receive!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Score and fold black cardstock to make bag topper. Round corners with punch.

STEP 2:

Cut an opening into the fold to allow for the handles of the bag.

STEP 3:

Stamp circles along strip of natural cardstock, glue to bag topper.

STEP 4:

Stamp “Wishing You” image, cut out, adhere to notebook paper.

STEP 5:

Decorate metal tag with paper, string, and stickers, attach with glue dots.

STEP 6:

Cut arrow from barn red cardstock, emboss with clear powder, glue to bag topper.

STEP 7:

Embellish bag topper with staples, binder clip, paper clip, and ribbon. If you want to get an aged look, apply brown and tan inks to the paper edges and scrape the edges of natural cardstock with scissors.

STEP 8:

NOTE: To create opening for handle: Calculate how long the opening must be to fit the handles. Fold the cardstock in half and punch a two half circle on the fold using a circle punch (aprox. 1/2 “). Keeping the cardstock folded, connect the two half circles with a metal ruler and cut with a craft knife.
