A Spotted Canary Project by Terryfic

4 November 2009

Glitter and acetate combine easily to create the stunning heart centerpiece of this romantic card.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Begin with a card base from tan parchment cardstock.

STEP 2:

Cut a rectangle from tan parchment cardstock and punch all four corners. Place double-sided tape behind the heart shapes and then cover the tape with clear glitter.

STEP 3:

Use rouge ink to stamp “I Love You” on the tan parchment piece and heat set the ink.

STEP 4:

Wrap ribbon around the tan parchment piece and secure the ends on the back. Mat onto raspberry cardstock and adhere to card front.

STEP 5:

Die cut a 3 1/2 inch circle from raspberry cardstock and a 3 inch circle from the patterned paper. Adhere the circles together and then to the card front.

STEP 6:

Stamp the decorative heart image on acetate with black solvent ink. Flip the image over and place strips of double-sided tape on the back of the heart image. Sprinkle with pink and clear glitter to cover the entire area. Cut out the heart image and attach it to the card with adhesive foam circles. For more durability and to ensure that the glitter stays in place on the back of the heart, you may want to add a paper backing to the image. Glue the paper in place before cutting out the image then cut everything at once.
