Create a one-of-a-kind handmade card using your favorite stamp and a little embroidery floss.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Cut a card shape from patterned paper. Fold in half and tie lace and ribbons around the fold.
STEP 2:
Stamp bird image on fabric using solvent-based ink.
STEP 3:
Stitch the outline of the stamped image with brown embroidery floss. I used a backstitch to do the outline.
STEP 4:
Fill in the stamped image with other colors of embroidery floss. When stitching your stamped image, remember that no one will see the back of your project so don’t worry about perfection. Have fun stitching and creating something for a special friend.
STEP 5:
Stamp the words “friends” coming out of the bird’s mouth.
STEP 6:
Place sewn image on brown patterned paper and then mat it on green patterned paper.
STEP 7:
Add buttons for a home-sewn look.
