Give new life to old home décor items or thrift store finds by adding stamped images. If you have a holiday party coming up, stamps that are related or unrelated to the holiday can be used on the home décor item by using the appropriate colors for that holiday.
Instructions
STEP 1:
If your home décor item needs a face lift, paint it with spray paint as needed. Allow to dry.
STEP 2:
Plan out your design and use Stamp-a-ma-jig (with dye ink) for placement of your design. Stamp each image using pigment ink and quickly add clear embossing powder. Heat embossing powder with heat tool, creating embossed images. Background stamps, such as Circles Galore, can be made to match other stamps, such as Fan Flowers, by using only a portion of the background image. The circle background was stamped in a fan shape to silhouette the fan flowers. The powder tray set is helpful to use with the embossing powder and later with the glitter.
STEP 3:
After all your images are stamped and embossed, add color using pigment stamping markers.
STEP 4:
Add spot glitter by applying craft glue and then glitter. Allow to dry.
