You only need a few basic supplies to create a stamper’s gift basket and leave a lasting impression on a dear friend or family member.

- Find a container or gift basket.
Select a container that might lend itself to storing rubber stamps and ink pads. The recipient of the gift will be glad to have a place to keep their new supplies. You may want to personalize the gift basket with the recipient’s name stamped on the container or on a gift tag tied to it. I recently saw a gift basket for a stamper made from an old tape cassette storage unit. It had inks displayed in the slots. This would be a gift of storage and super cute! - A crafter can never have too many stamps!
They are the heart of every stamping project. There are many types of stamps available from rubber to acrylic. Acrylic stamps allow the stamper to see exactly where the stamp image will be positioned on the project and take up less storage space. A binder with a clear sleeve and pockets could be decorated as a gift for a new stamper. I recommend alphabets and greetings for new stampers. - All stampers need several sizes of acrylic blocks.
They are the clear tool that the acrylic stamps cling to for stamping. To personalize your acrylic block, you can take rub-ons and put your name or a fancy design on the side of the block. If you stamp with others, it is easy to mix up supplies. Labeling or decorating your tools makes it easier to know whose belongs to whom. - There are many different types of inks to choose when filling your gift basket.
They come in a wide range of colors and pad sizes. There are also multi-colored pads available. The two main types of inks are dye inks and pigment inks. Dye inks are color fast and are quick to dry. They are great for beginners because they are less likely to smudge. Pigment inks are thick, or juicy, as I like to call them. They dry slowly and are great for embossing powders. - Paints, chalks, and markers are all ways that stampers add color to their stamped image.
A blender pen allows chalks to resemble watercolors. Most of these products are available in kits, so a new stamper will receive a variety of colors to enhance their stamped image. - Every stamper’s gift basket should include stamp cleaner.
It is a must to keep stamps clean and increase their longevity. It is also important to keep your stamping area free of ink. A craft cleaner is a nice gift to include in your stamper’s gift basket! - Make sure to include paper for your stamper.
Blank note cards, white or cream cardstock, and stationery are basics that all stampers use and appreciate receiving as a gift. - I would also include a list of favorite websites, blogs, and galleries that a new stamper would love to know about. These can be a great source of inspiration for beginners and experts alike!
