The luxurious Aurora Borealis finish on this Starfish pendant is a beautiful complement with a cluster of bicone crystals in sea breeze colors. String all dangle clusters onto a simple black cord for a dramatic yet casual necklace.
Instructions
STEP 1:
With a pair of chain nose pliers in each hand, locate the split in the jump ring.
STEP 2:
Gently open the jump ring by moving one hand away from you and the other towards you (photo).
STEP 3:
To close jump ring, reverse the opening step (photo).
STEP 4:
Thread crystal bead onto headpin (photo).
STEP 5:
Use the chain nose pliers to bend the wire to 90 degree angle.
STEP 6:
Use the cutter to trim headpin wire to about ½” from the bend (photo).
STEP 7:
Use the round nose pliers to grip the end of the wire and bend it towards you to form a loop (photo).
STEP 8:
Use a jump ring to connect Starfish Pendant and satin cord together.
STEP 9:
Create crystal dangles using one bicone bead each in the following colors and quantities: Caribbean Blue Opal (make 3), Erinite (make 3), Aquamarine (make 2) and Crystal (make 2).
STEP 10:
Split up the crystal dangles into two groups of 5 each and attach each group onto a jump ring. Attach each crystal dangle cluster on either side of Starfish pendant to finish.
STEP 11:
Use care and restraint when working with metal tools and a lot of crystals. You don’t want to get rough or to put undue pressure against a crystal as it might break.
