Make Nana’s Grandparent’s Day extra special by presenting her with this accordion fold mini book filled with a collection of photos and memories.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Cut six yellow strips of cardstock to 6 inches x 1/2 inch. Zig zag stitch down center. Cut patterned paper pocket blocks to 6 inches x 3 3/4 inches. Glue yellow strips to top edges. Sew pockets to album pages.
STEP 2:
Cut transparency sheet to fit photos. Attach transparency sheet pieces to photos using yellow brads. Title each photo using photo pen. Adhere photos to pockets with foam adhesive.
STEP 3:
Cut 2 1/2 inch x 4 inch tags from cardstock. Add white cardstock 2 inch x 3 1/4 inch journaling blocks to tags. Journaling using black marker and frame with a black line. Stick tag reinforcers to top centers of tags, punch holes and tie with ribbons. Insert tags into pockets.
STEP 4:
Cut two pieces of floral pattern paper to 6 inches x 4 1/2 inches. Stitch border around edges.
STEP 5:
Cut a length of yellow gingham ribbon to 24 inches. Attach to back cover along center and glue one floral pattern paper piece over ribbon. This step creates the album’s closure.
STEP 6:
Glue remaining floral piece to front cover. Cover a chipboard frame with light blue cardstock and tie with blue striped and green ribbons. Attach photo to frame and glue both pieces to front cover as shown.
STEP 7:
Print title on cardstock strips and add brads to two. Glue strips to cover using foam adhesive.
STEP 8:
Stamp butterflies on cardstock using coordinating ink colors. Trim images and attach to album cover and pages as seen in the photo. Add adhesive gems to the larger butterflies.
