A Spotted Canary Project by CMScanlon

13 December 2010

Make this pretty envelope album in just an afternoon to remember that special occasion or give as a gift.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Open the first envelope and fold the flap open, with the pocket facing up. Apply glue from the glue stick to the inside of the flap ONLY, covering the adhesive on the flap and place the second envelop – facing the same direction on top of the flap. Line the edge of the second envelope up with the fold of the flap on the first envelope. Continue adding envelopes in the same manner until you have the amount you want for your envelope album. For this album I used 6 envelopes all the same size.

STEP 2:

Create cover by trimming a vintage bingo card to fit on the front envelope and embellish with patterned papers, use the scallop border punch to punch the first and second layers of patterned paper that are attached at the bottom of the bingo card and use a glue stick to attach.

STEP 3:

Finish embellishing the cover by adding the ribbon and the K & Co. Handmade floral Grand Adhesions. Add the first part of the title using the Handmade Embossed Mini-Alpha Stickers and the second part of the title Foam ABC in Black or white as shown in the example.

STEP 4:

Attach a piece of ribbon to the backside of the bingo card, it should be long enough to tie the envelope album shut, approximately 18 inches or so.

STEP 5:

Attach cover to album by covering the backside of the completed cover with glue stick and add it to the envelope that will be the cover of the album.

STEP 6:

Use the papers from the pattern paper pad to cover the front (this will be the part of the envelope that you would add the address if you were sending it in the mail to someone) of the envelopes. Add photographs or journaling if desired.

STEP 7:

To embellish the other sides of the envelopes cut a piece of paper that will fit inside the envelope and secure wit adhesive to make a pretty envelope liner. Add Die-cut Cardstock embellishments and lines to add journaling.

STEP 8:

Add extra photos to envelopes to complete the album.
