Here's a great creative photo technique. Add sparkle to your photos by using a starlight filter and then carry that theme over to the layout by using beautiful papers, writing and embellishments with sparkle throughout this wedding scrapbook page.
To really make this photo technique work, choose elements that contribute to the overall theme (“sparkle”) such as paper and ribbon with sheen, writing done with a glitter pen and rhinestones to reflect light will unify your layout. Also, look for elements that can be added to echo something in the photos such as the tied ribbon on the wedding invitation and the look of lace to match the wedding dress. Even the rhinestones look like the blue liquid in the toasting flutes.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Assemble the photographs to be used in the layout and roughly lay them out on the chosen paper. Crop and mat the photos as desired using the trimmer and Curvy Cutters.
STEP 2:
Use the border punches to create a look of lace on the photo paper of the primary photo and along the edge of the title strip.
STEP 3:
Create the title on the title strip using a glitter pen. The glitter pen was chosen for this layout as it is in keeping with the “sparkle” theme of the layout. Add detail with a Zig Ball pen and shadow with a metallic pen.
STEP 4:
Cut a journaling panel and add your journaling to the panel using a Zig Ball pen.
STEP 5:
Punch three hearts to be used on the seam binding and slip them down over the binding. Look at the layout to see if there are physical elements you can silhouette such as the tied ribbon on the photo of the wedding invitation. Adhere the ribbons and then the title strip, photos, journaling and then add embellishments.
