Rub ons on a Glass Plate

Find an old plate and create a new piece of art with some stylish rub-ons.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Clean the plate with soap and water and make sure it is complete dry

STEP 2:

Use the pattern in the plate to inspire your art. You may notice on this plate, it had stems and leaves showing from the original artwork

STEP 3:

I applied the rub-ons to enhance the original design

STEP 4:

The rub-ons will apply to curved surfaces. It will take a little muscle and a little patience to get the rub-on to stick

STEP 5:

I recommend spraying the plate with a sealer so the rub-on won’t peel off. Your artwork is fragile until a sealer is applied

STEP 6:

Don’t eat on your artwork or place it in the dishwasher…unless you need to start again with the rub-ons.

I had to get out a metal nail file to apply the rub-on. Also I warmed the rub-on with my hand before rubbing it. The heat in my hands helps activate the rub-
