A Spotted Canary Project by TracyB

25 March 2009

Create flowers that you never have to water and that will bloom 365 days a year. Brighten up any room with your own paper bouquet!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Cover wooden vase in coordinating patterned papers. Embellish as desired with ribbon, cardstock die cuts and stamp.

STEP 2:

Wrap floral stem wires with florist tape. When wrapping wire with floral tape, I found it easiest to start at the top and work your way to the bottom of the wire. Stretch and tightly finger-press the tape as you place it around the wire.

STEP 3:

Cut layered flower pieces from patterned paper based on template. Curl edges to add dimension and adhere layers together with adhesive foam circles. If desired, glitter some layers or embellish with adhesive pearls.

STEP 4:

Punch flower centers and smaller flowers with assorted flower punches.

STEP 5:

Adhere stems to flower and place in planter. Styrofoam under the faux grass will keep the flowers from moving.

STEP 6:

Make sure to bend your floral wire to make each flower look its best in the vase.
