Set the scene for your rubber ducky birthday party with this adorable layered invitation.
Trim cloud patterned paper to size of card front and adhere.
Trim blue cardstock slightly shorter than the height of the card so that cloud paper will show through. Cut top edge with wave blade shuttle and adhere to cloud background. For this project I trimmed the wave edge of each layer at a different angle for a more realistic wave effect.
Trim light blue cardstock slightly shorter than the height of blue cardstock. Cut top edge with wave blade shuttle and adhere to blue layer with adhesive foam circles.
Trim wave patterned paper slightly shorter than the height of light blue cardstock. Cut top edge with wave blade shuttle and adhere to light blue layer with adhesive foam circles.
Adhere rubber duck embellishment between light blue and blue cardstock layers with an adhesive foam circle. Place him under the light blue layer so that he appears to be swimming in the water.
Adhere vellum bubbles between wave layers with glue pen as desired. Tuck the bubbles into the waves, and add glue only to the areas that will be hidden by a wave.
Stamp “party” onto blue cardstock. Trim and adhere to lower right corner of card with adhesive foam circles.
Print party details onto cardstock and adhere inside card.
Stamp rubber ducky image onto envelope.
