Create this gatefold card with simple yet elegant borders.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Cut a 12 x 5 15/16 inch rectangle from brown cardstock
STEP 2:
Cut two 3 x 5 15/16 pieces of white cardstock
STEP 3:
Cut two 3.25 x 5 15/16 inch pieces of dark pink cardstock
STEP 4:
Using a clamshell scallop punch, scallop two of the 5 15/16 inch edges of the brown cardstock and one edge of the white and dark pink cardstocks. Adhere white scalloped pieces to the brown and then the pink scalloped edges over white to create the scallop design pattern meeting in the center opening of the card.
STEP 5:
Cut two 2 3/8 x 5 11/16 inch pieces of flourish pink paper. Attach two sections of wedding cake border stickers, also cut to 5 11/16 inches, to the center of each flourish pink panel.
STEP 6:
Stamp "Hearts by the Dozen" using brown dye ink on pink flourish paper and cut out 4 hearts. Mat cut-out hearts onto brown cardstock. I found it was a lot easier and far more precise to use a brown marker on each phrase and go over just the words I wanted "inked" and stamp that individual line on the flourish pink paper, as opposed to using the stamp pad.
STEP 7:
Stamp individual lines from "Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much" onto flourish pink. Mat each onto brown cardstock.
STEP 8:
Attach three phrases to the left side of the card as illustrated.
STEP 9:
Attach the four hearts to the right side of the card as illustrated.
