A Spotted Canary Project by KelKeller

28 September 2009

Create
a
 pretty
and
 easy
framed
piece
 for
 your
home
 using
a
 store
bought
frame,
buttons
and
 fabric
 scraps.

It
 is
 so
 easy
 and
 fun,
you
will
 want
to
 create
them
for
 gifts
as
 well!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Remove glass from wooden frame.

STEP 2:

Cut pink dot paper to fit inside frame.

STEP 3:

From scrap paper, cut a heart to the desired size.

STEP 4:

Temporarily and lightly attach heart template to green paper.

STEP 5:

Sew randomly sized buttons to green paper. To simplify this step, glue dots or hot glue may be used instead of sewing.

STEP 6:

Attach green paper with buttons to heavy cardstock or chipboard, trim smaller than pink dot paper.

STEP 7:

Mount green piece to pink paper using adhesive foam squares.

STEP 8:

Tie frayed strips of Amy Butler fabric around frame.
