Easily create a beautiful vase wrap. You can personalize with paper that matches your home decor and even change your vase wrap seasonally.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Cut striped paper to desired width. Cut the length so when wrapped around the vase, there is about a 1 inch space. The green side will show on the inside of the vase. Sponge chocolate ink on paper edges.
STEP 2:
Cut blue floral paper slightly narrower, keeping the width the same as the striped paper. Sponge chocolate ink on paper edges.
STEP 3:
Using a glue stick, lightly glue floral paper, just on the short ends, to striped paper. To keep the paper from looking warped when it is wrapped, it helps to roll the glued strip and place inside the vase for a while to dry.
STEP 4:
Cut two pieces of blue dotted paper two inches wide and slightly longer than the width of the vase wrap. Fold these in half lengthwise and round corners. Sponge chocolate ink on paper edges. Attach to the vase wrap.
STEP 5:
On a piece of scrap paper the same size as the blue dotted paper, determine where you want holes for the ribbon threading and create a template.
STEP 6:
Use the scrap paper template to punch holes along blue dotted paper.
STEP 7:
Use adhesive dots to attach buttons along blue dotted paper, taking care to line up one of the button holes with the holes along the paper.
STEP 8:
Lace vase wrap to vase.
STEP 9:
Embellish with assorted cream ribbons.
