Capture Springtime in this shadowbox made of memorabilia from the past.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Choose 2 pattern papers. One paper for the lid of the box and the other for the base.

STEP 2:

Score the papers using the scoring board. I used 12 x 12 paper and scored it at 3 and at 9 for the base of the box.

STEP 3:

For the lid, I scored it at 3 and 9 1/8, making sure to pay attention to the arrow when I lined up the paper on the scoring board

STEP 4:

Once the lid was scored, I cut out the square window that measured 5 x 5.

STEP 5:

Then, I creased, cut the flaps, and constructed the box. I glued the lid to the base of the box.

STEP 6:

I wrapped lace around the seam of the box and the lid.

STEP 7:

Inside the box, I secured an old postcard, bird’s nest with eggs, and a floral stem.

STEP 8:

Inside the box, I secured an old postcard, bird’s nest with eggs, and a floral stem.

STEP 9:

I glittered the eggs before I glued the nest inside the box. Then, I added the stickers and words. I also added a lace bow to the top of the box.

STEP 10:

Last, I put the knobs on the box to make it stand.

For stability, I cut a piece of chipboard to fit in the bottom of my box. I covered it with pattern paper.
