Powdering the back of stickers removes the adhesive and turns the sticker into a die-cut. Once you have decided where to place the sticker, simply add additional adhesive to the sticker and place it in position.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Cut two chipboard tags from the Chipboard Accordion Tag Album. Paint one yellow and the second one orange.
STEP 2:
Trace the chipboard tags onto patterned paper and cut out. When cutting out the patterned paper, cut inside the pencil lines, this will make the paper slightly smaller than the chipboard tag and allows the paint to be seen on the edges.
STEP 3:
For the Orange tag, cut a piece of patterned paper to fit along the bottom to form a pocket. Adhere the patterned papers to the front of the chipboard tags. Trace the tag shape onto black cardstock and line the back of each tag with a piece.
STEP 4:
For the “Sesame Street” Photo tag, attach the large Big Bird to the left side and the smaller Ernie, Bert and Oscar sticker to the top. Print a photo 2.5” x 3.5” and mat with white cardstock. Adhere the photo to the tag. Attach the “Sesame Street” street sign sticker. Attach two pieces of magnet to the back of the tag.
STEP 5:
To complete the “Elmo Loves to Play” tag, powder the top half of the Elmo sticker so he doesn’t stick to the background and adhere him to the right side of the tag. Add the “Elmo loves to play” sticker and a green button. Place the “Sesame Street” lamp post sticker inside the pocket. Print out a bundle of “chores” to place inside the pocket. Each day your child can choose several chores from the pocket that will be his responsibility for the day. Attach two pieces of magnet to the back of the tag.
STEP 6:
For the remaining pieces to this set, have your child help you powder the back of your stickers and add pieces of magnet to them. Attach several of the smaller stickers to mini clothes pegs and then powder the piece of the sticker that is shown on the reverse.
