This necklace is one of the easiest to construct, using jump rings to connect the different elements together. The crystal square and round rings are the foundation of the symmetrical pattern necklace. Make the necklace as pictured or work out a linked design of your own.
Instructions
STEP 1:
With a pair of chain nose pliers in each hand, locate the split in the jump ring.
STEP 2:
Gently open the jump ring by moving one hand away from you and the other towards you.
STEP 3:
To close jump ring, reverse the opening step.
STEP 4:
Begin by laying out your design of crystal rings, crystal squares, metal connectors and pendant drop. Create the symmetrical pattern as pictured or design your own.
STEP 5:
Using jump rings to connect the center pendant drop together.
STEP 6:
Connect one side unit of the necklace together with jump rings. Upon completing one side of the necklace and repeat the same pattern on the opposite side.
STEP 7:
Use jump rings to attach chain to the linked units.
STEP 8:
Use care and restraint when working with metal tools and a lot of crystals. You don’t want to get rough or to put undue pressure against a crystal as it might break.
