This page was a blast to create! From deciding which words to use to support my photos to working the “puzzle” to get it all to fit in a 12 x 12 page size, it was definitely worth the challenge! The “journaling” became the fun part of the page.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Use patterned paper as your base. Apply a border of adhesive paper ribbon all the way around the page.
STEP 2:
Adhere black cardstock on an angle to bottom left corner. Adhere white cardstock on top of black, leaving a slight border of black showing. Draw a double black line border with archival marker.
STEP 3:
Stamp all letters for crossword words individually on white cardstock. Punch each one out using 5/8” square punch and adhere them in grid format on black cardstock. Cut around puzzle with craft knife leaving a slight edge showing. Add numbers to coordinate with clues using black marker.
STEP 4:
Crop photos to fit in crossword “empty” spaces. Line up photos and word grid on an angle. Once everything is in place, adhere photos to page and then adhere word grid. This order is necessary if any of your pictures are tucked under the grid.
STEP 5:
Print out clues on white cardstock and mat with black. Adhere on an angle to top right corner of page. Draw a double black line border with archival marker.
STEP 6:
Stamp “LITTLE MISS” onto white cardstock with mini alphabet stamps. Mat with black cardstock and adhere to top left corner. Spell “FANCY” with glitter alphabet stickers. Apply chipboard flowers and felt leaves as shown.
