A Spotted Canary Project by Spotted Canary

4 November 2009

Two all-beef patties, lettuce, cheese, tomato, all on a sesame seed bun—hold the pickles!  Friends won't believe this hamburger was made with Perler Beads.  What a great project to make for school or a display.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Download and print the patterns for this project.

STEP 2:

Create and fuse the pieces as indicated in the patterns.

STEP 3:

Using thread or lacing, tie the light brown “sesame seeds” to the top bun segment.

STEP 4:

Glue the bun segments together. To make assembly easier, be sure to not over-iron your bead sections.

STEP 5:

Stack the hamburger segments.

STEP 6:

Caution: Glue guns get hot and should only be used with close adult supervision. Not all glues will hold your beads together. Be sure to test it on some practice beads first. Another option is to use thread or lacing to tie segments together.

STEP 7:

CAUTION: Fusing the beads with an iron requires adult supervision! Make sure the iron is NOT on the steam setting before beginning.
