A Spotted Canary Project by brushnbecky

7 July 2009

Here’s a cute little booklet made from envelopes that can be stuffed full of games to play on your road trip! With lots of hidden pockets, you can tuck all kinds of activities into each little cubby!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Take one white envelope, lick the flap and slide it to the inside of the envelope.

STEP 2:

Take the next envelope and turn it over so the plain side is on top. Slip the flap of THIS envelope into the opening of your first envelope.

STEP 3:

Continue with the above procedure for the remaining envelopes. There should be a pocket on the left and a plain page on the right throughout your book if you have followed the steps above.

STEP 4:

Cover the front and back with patterned paper. Cut a two inch wide strip of cardstock (length will depend on what size envelope you use) and fold in half lengthwise. Adhere this over the fold of the book to give more support to the spine.

STEP 5:

Add decorative papers, stickers and games to the inside pages.

STEP 6:

Make tags to pull out of each pocket by cutting a piece of cardstock that is slightly smaller than the envelope size. Punch 2 one inch circles from cardstock and sandwich the tag between the two circles…letting them hang over the edge of the cardstock by about a half an inch on the right side. Add games to the tag and insert in pocket.

This is a very clever and easy idea! The pockets are great for storing......

Where was this when I was stuck in 8 hour long car trips with my brother?
