A Spotted Canary Project by Spotted Canary Creations

22 October 2009

Kids and parents will have fun together making this spooky bat lantern out of fusable perler beads. Great for Halloween. Simple assembly!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Use the square pegboard to make four sides and one bottom piece for the lantern. When fusing the beads with the iron, do not over-iron or the pieces will not fit together easily.

STEP 2:

Use the hexagon pegboard to make a total of eight bats, four at a time. For the eyes, choose your favorite colors from the neon mix.

STEP 3:

Glue the bats to the side pieces as desired. Assemble the sides and bottom pieces as shown.

STEP 4:

Add a handle with the chenille stem. Place the battery operated tea light inside the lantern.

STEP 5:

NOTE: Adult supervision required - hot iron!
