Nothing could be easier – or more fun – than punching strips of paper to decorate this fun Easter egg card.
Instructions
STEP 1:
To create card base, cut white cardstock to 11 x 4 1/2 inches and fold in half. The fold will be at the top of the card.
STEP 2:
Cut yellow cardstock to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches and adhere to the card front.
STEP 3:
Cut tan cardstock to 3 3/4 x 5 inches and adhere to the card front, centering.
STEP 4:
Cut a 3 3/4 x 1 inch strip of medium green cardstock and makes snips into it at regular intervals, creating a grass-like effect. Adhere to the bottom of the tan portion of the card front, as shown.
STEP 5:
With a pencil, freehand draw a large egg on white cardstock and cut out. Punch strips of colored cardstock with various border punches and layer them on the egg, adhering them so they overlap. Don’t worry about sizing the strips to the sides of the egg. Once the entire surface of the egg is covered, flip it over and cut the excess off. Adhere to card front, weaving it in and out of the “grass” a bit, as shown.
