A Spotted Canary Project by Spotted Canary Creations

13 July 2009

Ahoy, me maties! Let’s set sail for the high seas and get us some pirate plunder! Arrrh!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Create and fuse the pieces as indicated in the downloadable patterns.

STEP 2:

See the diagram included with patterns that shows where each ship segment is inserted into the base.

STEP 3:

Also included with the templates is a 3D diagram to show the right (starboard) side of the ship assembly. The left (port) side assembles in the same manner. To make the pegs fit into their slots easier, insert them while the part is still slightly warm (NOT HOT!) from ironing. Please use caution or ask an adult to supervise during the ironing phase.

STEP 4:

For added detail, you can use string for the rigging lines, add a paper flag, and use the tips of cotton swabs to create cannon smoke.

STEP 5:

Now swab the deck or you’ll walk the plank!
