Wait before you toss anything while organizing your junk drawer! You just may have a few treasures to create a unique piece of jewelry.

Instructions

STEP 1:

I used 21 inches of old chain from a belt. Then I added more broken necklace chains, a button wrapped with eye pins, chandelier charm, and a resin black rose. The entire time I built my necklace I would continue to measure it to make sure the sides were even.

STEP 2:

Once the base was finished, I used jump rings to attach odd junk drawer pieces. Each piece has a story and is unique to the creator of the necklace.

STEP 3:

I added an owl pin and a burgundy ribbon to the large chain.

STEP 4:

The key has my first initial on it with a sticker. The tag has a sticker with the number of people in my family

Related Resources

I hung the necklace around my neck as I was attaching memorabilia. It was easier for me to see if the charms would hang on the chain like I intended them to.
