A Spotted Canary Project by Leslie B.

1 February 2012

Introducing small amounts of ribbon or lace is a great way to bring texture and additional color into your jewelry designs.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Remove the jump ring from the pendant.

STEP 2:

Cut two 5 inch pieces of wire and two 4 1/2 inch pieces of chain.

STEP 3:

Take a crimp bead and slide it onto one end of one wire, loop the wire through one side of the pendant and thread it back through the crimp bead.

STEP 4:

Use your chain nose pliers to close the crimp bead and secure.

STEP 5:

Thread the crystals and spacer beads onto the wire as shown or as desired.

STEP 6:

Take a crimp bead and slide it onto the end of the wire, loop the wire through the first link in one piece of the chain and thread it back through the crimp bead.

STEP 7:

Use your chain nose pliers to close the crimp bead and secure. Trim any excess wire.

STEP 8:

After opening the jump rings with your chain nose and round nose pliers, slip on the chain and one of the closure pieces. Close the jump ring.

STEP 9:

Repeat Steps 3-8 to complete the other side of the necklace.

STEP 10:

Cut ribbons and attach to the necklace by knotting on either side of the pendant. Trim ribbons to desired length.
