Excellent for accessorizing your wardrobe, this bangle is a simple project you can create with just a few materials. You can use scraps of fabric or even recycle old linens and clothes for a unique fashion statement. Hotfix crystals add a touch of sparkle and nice detail. Try stacking a few bracelets for a bold look.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Measure the width and the outside circumference of the bangle. Add 1/4 inch to the circumference for the length of your fabric, and multiply the width by 2. Cut a piece of the paisley fabric using these measurements.
STEP 2:
Measure the inside circumference of the bangle. Cut a piece of felt to that length, and the width minus 1/8 inch.
STEP 3:
Measure and cut a piece of the adhesive sheet using the outside circumference as the length and bracelet width. Repeat using the measurements for the inside of the bracelet. Set aside.
STEP 4:
Embellish the fabric with hotfix crystals. To help keep the crystals within the width of the bracelet, you can mark the fabric with chalk.
STEP 5:
Take the piece of adhesive for the outside of the bangle and adhere one side to the bracelet. Peel off the other backer sheet to expose the adhesive, and carefully center the fabric on the bangle. Add fabric glue to the end of the fabric and fold inwards 1/4 inch. Glue the end of the fabric to the bangle.
STEP 6:
Make small nips in the fabric on either edge of the bangle. Use fabric glue to adhere the edges of the fabric to the inside of the bangle.
STEP 7:
Adhere the piece of felt to one side of the remaining double adhesive sheet. Remove the backer to expose the adhesive, and line the inside of the bracelet with the felt.
