Embellished Organizer Box

We all have containers on our desks to hold paper clips, rubber bands or some other essential items, so why not store them in something that is pretty and makes us smile when we use it. Begin with this decoupage and bejeweled wooden box and you might find that you will have trouble stopping in your beautification effort and want to keep on going to other items!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Measure your box and cut decorative paper so it will cover the desired portions of the box. Apply decoupage glue to the box an area at a time, continuing until all the areas are covered. Apply decoupage glue over the decorative paper. Allow to dry.

STEP 2:

For a smoother finish, apply a second coat and allow it to dry, if desired.

STEP 3:

Using the sanding block, smooth out any edges that appear rough, if needed.

STEP 4:

Decide on the placement of the jewels. Apply a small amount of strong craft glue and set the jewel in the glue. Handling the jewels with tweezers might make this job easier. Allow glue to dry.
