Bridal Party Gift Set: Necklace

Instructions

STEP 1:

Create six pearl links by threading a pearl onto an eye pin or a piece of wire. Loop each end around the Round Nose Pliers to create two loops. Cut the excess wire. Repeat this step five more times. For our necklace we used four smaller pearls and two larger pearls.

STEP 2:

Cut eight 1 1/2 inch pieces of sterling silver chain.

STEP 3:

Open a small jump ring; add one end of a piece of chain onto the jump ring. Then add the drop pendant and then another piece of chain. Close the jump ring. This creates the center of the necklace.

STEP 4:

At the open ends of the chain, string a pearl link and close the loop. On the other end of the pearl link, add a piece of chain and close the loop. On each side of the necklace, attach another pearl link to the loose end of the chain and close the loop. Continue this pattern until all pearl links and all chain pieces have been used.

STEP 5:

Create small crystal and pearl dangles to be added to the necklace. Thread one or two crystals onto a headpin. Bend the headpin around the Round Nose Pliers to create a loop. Thread the attachment onto the chain in your desired location. Close the loop and cut the excess headpin with the Flush Cutters.

STEP 6:

NOTE: These attachments can be customized to match the color of your bridesmaid’s dresses. For our necklace, we used the smallest size crystals and pearls and flat headpins. We created twelve attachments containing a pink and clear crystal, and four attachments containing a pearl. On each side of the necklace we attached three crystal and two pearl attachments between the pendant and first pearl link, and three crystal attachments between the first and second pearl links.

STEP 7:

At the end of the necklace, you will have two loose chain ends. On one end, string a medium sized jump ring and close. On the other end, string a small jump ring. String a lobster clasp on the small jump ring and close.
