Tip for Success: Make sure not to glue the bottom of the “pull” paper together. The ribbon closure will keep paper from separating and allow the paper to move up and down. Gluing this together will interfere with movement of the card.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Fold house paper in half and size it against your envelope. Cut house shape from folded card.
STEP 2:
Hole punch windows make sure the align with the window above it or below it. Cut a slit for the door.
STEP 3:
Cut a hidden flap to go inside of card. Fold a tab and adhere it to the spine of the card. Cut a slit in the center of this piece.
STEP 4:
Fold another piece of paper in half. Allow one side of the paper to slide under the slit and the other side of the paper should be on top of the slit.
STEP 5:
Punch a hole in the bottom of this folded piece and tie together with ribbon
STEP 6:
Decorate the home adding personal touches that reflect your home. Don’t forget to place a photo in the window. When you pull the ribbon paper, the photo magically moves to the bottom window.
STEP 7:
Place all party information on the back of the house card.
STEP 8:
Line the inside of the envelope to coordinate the invitation and the envelope.
STEP 9:
Weigh everything at the post office. This invitation will need to be hand-sorted by the US Postal Service. There is an additional fee for this process, but it is well worth it. So much care went into making it.
