Instructions
STEP 1:
Print template and cut out six pieces of orange felt for the pumpkin. Cut out a 1 inch circle from the orange felt. Cut out one leaf from the spruce felt. The stem is made from a piece of nutmeg felt that measures 1 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inches.
STEP 2:
Roll and stitch the brown felt closed using brown embroidery thread.
STEP 3:
Stitch the six orange pieces, right sides together, using orange embroidery thread and back stitch. Start and stop at the dots on the template. Turn pumpkin right side out.
STEP 4:
For the bottom of the pumpkin, attach the 1 inch circle using orange embroidery thread and a simple hand stitch.
STEP 5:
Along the top edge of the pumpkin, place a running stitch with orange embroidery thread so that the top edge can be gathered. Fill pumpkin with stuffing, gather and tie, leaving enough room to place the base of the brown felt stem in the center hole. Stitch the stem in place with brown embroidery thread.
STEP 6:
Attach the leaf to the top of the pumpkin with green embroidery thread.
