Flowers made from wool felt - what a simple yet lovely accent! A sheet of flat felt, a wool ball and a couple leaves help create these easy-to-make blooms.
Iron your wool felt so the pieces lay flat.
Print and cut out the pattern pieces. Cut out the three pieces of wool felt. Be creative! Use two different colors of felt, needle felt an accent color onto the felt, or keep it super simple and just use one color.
Using a coordinating color of embroidery thread, place a running stitch along the straight edge of each of the three pieces, leaving a tail.
Take the smallest piece and gather the bottom edge. Tack to the opposite side forming a cup. Attach the wool ball inside the smallest piece with the needle and thread used to gather it.
Gather the medium size felt piece in the same way, and attach the smallest piece with the ball inside this piece.
Repeat for the largest piece.
Add bead and or crystal accents. Add extra bling to your flower with hotfix crystals, and give texture to your leaves with rows of seed beads.
Attach leaves to bottom of flowers with thread and needle.
Your flower is ready to use! If desired, add a pin back or clip to the flower and wear it in your hair or on your lapel. Add wool felt flowers to your purse, your decor or a pretty package!
