A Spotted Canary Project by ekb

6 May 2010

With just a few squirts of paint, some simple supplies and a handful of steps you can create this colorful piece of wall art to brighten up any corner of your home. Or apply the same concept to any leftovers, from scrap paper to paint chips!

Instructions

STEP 1:

Paint 2.5 x 2 inch sections of white cardstock with leftover paints. Let dry.

STEP 2:

Punch butterflies from each painted cardstock section. Trim antennae. Touch up edges of punch with paint and let dry.

STEP 3:

Measure and mark placement of butterflies on a 12 x 12 piece of white cardstock. The border here is approximately 3 inches on the right and left sides and 2.5 inches along the top and bottom.

STEP 4:

Attach butterflies to cardstock using foam adhesive, slightly bending wings upwards for dimension. Remove glass from frame and insert cardstock.
