A Spotted Canary Project by CMScanlon

7 July 2009

Turn your Glass Art unto a unique canvas piece.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Cover canvas with a thin layer of craft glue and apply a 6 inch square of the patterned paper to it. Allow to dry.

STEP 2:

Sand edges of canvas to remove the hard edges of the patterned paper, wipe clean and apply a thin coat of the green paint to the edges.

STEP 3:

Cut book paper to the same size as the pattern on the glass. Use the Quick Dry Craft Glue to glue to the back side of the glass. Allow to dry completely.

STEP 4:

Drill two 1/8 inch holes in the canvas, one in each corner of the top. Look at the example for placement. Add ribbon to canvas through the holes and tie knots to keep it from coming out.

STEP 5:

When glue is dry on the glass and paper is adhered nicely, apply a large adhesive foam dot to the back side of the glass and adhere to canvas and you’re done. Make sure to wait for the glue to dry before you apply the adhesive dot to the back side of the glass or the paper will tear when you apply it to the canvas and try and hang the canvas.
