Think outside of the picture frame! Creating a Vacation Fund Jar is a breeze when using an easy-to-stitch picture. Add a few accents to coordinate and you quickly have a fun way to save money for that special trip.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Complete design as directed on the instructions included with your kit.
STEP 2:
Trim fabric, leaving 1/2 inch border around stitched area. Fold under along the edge of the design and press.
STEP 3:
Cut a piece of fabric to fit around the jar. Allow enough fabric for overlap on the back of your jar.
STEP 4:
Turn the top and bottom edges under 1/4 inch and machine stitch in place. Attach the stitched piece to the center of your fabric using a hidden stitch or an applique stitch.
STEP 5:
Embroider the words BEACH FUND on the fabric using a simple back stitch. Add a border around the stitched piece using stem stitch.
STEP 6:
Hand sew the fabric piece around the jar.
STEP 7:
Glue assorted shells to the lid of the jar. Accent the neck of the jar with assorted ribbons.
