A Spotted Canary Project by Renaissance crafter

13 April 2009

For this project the designer added her own own photos, stamped images and ephemera to create this finished piece of artwork.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Complete your art piece. You might want to scan your artwork and print a copy to use as embellishments, as the butterfly that was used on this piece.

STEP 2:

Choose the color of your mats and cut the one to fit your frame and one to shadow the artwork

STEP 3:

Choose the elements you want to use such as photos, flowers, quotes, etc. Consider having some dimension to your collage, especially if you are not putting it under glass.

STEP 4:

Mat any photos you are using with a coordinating color.

STEP 5:

Fill the background with stamped images or printed images

STEP 6:

Layout out the chosen elements and arrange in a fashion that is pleasing to the eye. Adhere them to the mat background.

STEP 7:

Prepare the frame if needed.
