These are a few of my favorite things.. This simple accordion album is easy to make and fun to create unique little pages. Include photos with various sayings, poems, embellishments, or memorabilia. Great for all those photos taken and not enough time to create a large scrapbook. My favorite thing is to be at the ocean. However,with my busy life I can't get there very often. So this book is great way to go through each page and feel like I am there. My husband has taken many wonderful pictures of our time at the various beaches so now I can enjoy them more often. So enjoy.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Make the accordion album:
Take 3 sheets of 12 x 12 card stock. Using a cutting tool, measure and cut each sheet in half to 6 x 12. This will create 6 sheets that are 6 x 12. Next, insuring that the corners and edges meet, fold the 12 inch sides in half to create a 6 x 6 folded pages. Use a folding bone to insure folds have a good crease. Using each sheet, glue one side on the right hand side to the reversed side of the left hand side to keep the folds in an accordion style. If desired you can cut two 6.5 x 6.5 square pieces from chipboard or stiff cardboard and glue to front and back pages of book to make stronger.
STEP 2:
Next: using 4 coordinating 12 x 12 background papers, cut into 4 6 x 6 squares. Starting with the page after the cover, alternate each page and glue each paper. There will be extra paper, cut pieces to create a cover with all pieces to coordinate with other pages.
STEP 3:
Using letters of various fonts or materials, create a title to put on the cover. Next, add embellishments and decorations to finish. Finish additional pages with photos, thoughts, embellishments or memorabilia until all pages are covered. Enjoy.
