Create an easy, floral accent to brighten any outfit, from an old, wool sweater.

Instructions

STEP 1:

Wash in hot water and dry a 100% wool sweater.

STEP 2:

Cut 2 strips of wool scraps, approximately 1 1/2 inches wide and stitch them together near the bottom of the strip.

STEP 3:

Cut fringe along the sweater strip. Don't go through the stitched line.

STEP 4:

Cut a felt circle and coil the fringed strip of sweater. Add glue as you coil it to create a mum like flower.

STEP 5:

Place a button, covered brad, or an old earring for the center of the flower.

STEP 6:

Add felt leaves and some hand stitching to accent the leaves.

STEP 7:

Glue a pin to back for wearing the flower.
