Decorative Easter egg holders for 5-6 year old crafters.
Instructions
STEP 1:
Scalloped Based Egg Holder
1. Cut decorative cardstock weight paper as shown on template.
2. Punch 5 one-inch circles from coordinating paper.
3. Score the paper strip as shown on template.
4. Fold circles in half and glue along edge of paper strip.
5. Glue egg holder strip together.
6. Tie a piece of ribbon around egg holder.
7. Punch a hole in the egg holder for the felt flower.
8. Thread the brad through the felt flower and attach to egg holder.
STEP 2:
Threaded Egg Holder
1. Cut decorative cardstock weight paper as shown on template.
2. Punch holes along decorative paper as shown on template.
3. Thread ribbon through the holes, line up the last holes on each end, pull both ribbon ends through and tie.
4. Glue egg holder strip together.
5. Thread the brad through the felt flower.
6. Attach the felt flower in the hole where the ribbons meet.
7. Tie knots on the ribbon ends.
8. When crafting the Threaded Egg Holder, rounded cord or yarn with a taped end may be easier for younger children. Keeping the flat ribbon from twisting may be difficult for them.
9.Use small clothes pins, or paper clips to secure the egg holder as the glue dries.
STEP 3:
Grass Filled Egg Holder
1. Cut decorative cardstock weight paper as shown on template.
2. Punch a hole in the egg holder for the felt flower.
3. Tie a piece of ribbon around egg holder.
4. Thread a brad through the felt flower and attach to egg holder.
