Destination scrapbooking is a great way to kick-start your creativity and relive your favorite travel memories.

Where do you go to find your inspiration? For me, there is nothing better than a trip to the Tetons! There’s something about being in a place you love, in nature, in the true silence.  Whether you are capturing the memories of a favorite vacation or just basing your design on the emotions that a location stirs up in you, destination scrapbooking is sure to inspire.

I tried to immerse myself in the surroundings of the Tetons when I created the layout above.  The gorgeous floral paper, script font and swirly rub-ons all lend a serene feel to the black and white photos. The sparkling glitter I applied to the stream and flowers bring to mind the memory of the sun glinting off the water and touching the flowers with its light.

I think stamping sometimes gets forgotten in our layouts, too.  An added flower can pull the whole look together and help the eye travel across the page, as does a touch of faux stitching and ribbon in just the right color.

The stitching, pewter brads and eyelets and black and white photos all blend together with the vintage florals and old barn to give this layout a touch of the old, the peaceful and the quiet. Looking at this takes me back to a day of relaxation and discovery.

So what are you waiting for? Get inspired! Find some pictures from your last outing…or better yet, go find your inspiration. Destination scrapbooking is the perfect way to kick start your creativity.
